Olsen Extended Family Party-December 21
We had the annual Olsen Family Party on December 21. Every year it seems that more families are not able to come (live too far away, too busy, working, etc . . .) but we still had a pretty good group there and it was a fun evening. We ate dinner (lots of different soups to choose from), rolls and lots of lots of yummy goodies. Then we played bingo and the kids got lots of fun presents. Josh won the "guess how many candies are in the jar" game-so he won the jar of candy. I guessed like 40 more than there was! I over-thought it a bit! After games, Santa Claus arrived and all the kids received a small gift from him and got to sit on his lap. Both Peyton and Bo were so cute when they sat on his lap. They were really shy and didn't say anything at first, and then the both quickly whispered something in his ear. Cayle blushed and laughed when Santa Claus teased her. Landon didn't cry, but he definitely didn't like it! Peyton asked for legos, Bo asked for a DS, and Cayle asked for a hair crimper (which is what Santa teased her about). Then the kids opened presents from Great Grandma and Grandpa Olsen. They get each of their Great grandkids something for Christmas! My kids all got cute sweaters. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
